What Exactly is the Swiss Motorway Vignette?
- • One-time CHF 40 sticker valid for unlimited motorway use January–December.
- • Mandatory for cars, motorcycles and trailers up to 3.5 t.
- • Skipping it can cost you a CHF 200 on-the-spot fine plus the vignette price.
- • Sticker is vehicle-specific and non-transferable.
Where to Buy Your Vignette
- Fuel Stations: Nearly every Swiss fuel station sells vignettes at the cashier. Ask for “Autobahnvignette”.
- Post Offices: Look for the yellow Swiss Post signs. Payment by cash or card.
- Customs Points: Crossing by road? Purchase at the green “vignette” lanes right before the border.
- Online (Abroad): Some European motoring clubs sell vignettes—order early to allow postal delivery.
We do NOT sell vignettes; we simply show you where and how.
